At Berlin's Velodrom, drama is incited. The warm, gentle breeze atop the unkempt meadow-like grass exists at odds with the rigid angles of the cold, brutalist architecture. Velodrama disrupts the relationship between the constructed and the non-constructed; the natural and the artificial. Evoking the comically mundane theatricality of The Sims, the two guided figures of interchangeable form abandon the pursuit of organic motion in favour of self-aware, constructed performativity.
