Ewan Waddell

Ewan Waddell is an award-winning British filmmaker based in Berlin and the latest recipient of the Wim Wenders Award. His films investigate elements of the modernity crisis, spanning narrative, non-fiction and experimental work. His debut documentary, The Longer You Bleed, premiered at Hot Docs 2025, was nominated for Best Documentary and the Supreme Jury Prize at the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival, and won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Beyond Borders Festival in Greece. His television directorial debut, The Archivists of Chornobyl, was commissioned by Al Jazeera and premieres in 2026. He holds First-Class Honours from the University of Leeds, was valedictorian of his MA at the Catalyst Institute Berlin, and holds a Research Fellowship at UC Berkeley.
Liubov Dyvak
Producer / Director
Liubov Dyvak is a Ukrainian producer, journalist and researcher based between Berlin and Kyiv. Her early research examined the tension between contemporary Ukraine's pursuit of its own cultural identity and the inherited trauma of its post-Soviet inheritance, work she carried out through fellowships and scholarships at institutions including Berlin's Neue Nationalgalerie. Since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, her focus has shifted toward the cultural and psychological consequences of the full-scale war. She is currently in production for her directorial debut exploring the new revolution in trauma care.
